The American government decided to adapt isolation policies during the 1920s and 1930s because of several reasons. US President Harding was not happy with the actions of the League of Nations and also the higher walls of tariff. The situation of “red scare” made the scenario even tenser. America decided to follow an isolation policy for more than twenty years following the First World War however, America did not cut its connections with the other countries.
